The Chamber took part in the Town’s biggest business event, Bishop’s Stortford Means Business, held at Rhodes on 19 October.  This popular annual event has been taking place since 2001, and once again, it proved to be a great success.  Several new members were signed up on the spot. Once again Price Bailey went off with the honours at the Annual Chamber Quiz. Paul Winspear was the quiz master at the event, which took place on 13th October. 11 teams took part and together, a total of £1,107.20 was raised for the Chamber’s Charity, St. Elizabeth’s Centre. Two years of fund raising by the Chamber has provided the funds to buy a much needed hoist for St Clare. The Hospice were asked what piece of equipment would be the greatest help to the staff at the In-patient Unit, and they requested the hoist.
